Step 1. Uninstall Score-Stars
a) Windows 7/XP
- Start icon → Control Panel
- Select Programs and Features.
- Uninstall unwanted programs
b) Windows 8/8.1
- Right-click on Start, and pick Control Panel.

c) Windows 10
- Start menu → Search (the magnifying glass).

Step 2. Delete [postname[ from Internet Explorer
- Gear icon → Manage add-ons → Toolbars and Extensions.
- Disable all unwanted extensions.
a) Change Internet Explorer homepage
- Gear icon → Internet Options.
- Enter the URL of your new homepage instead of the malicious one.
b) Reset Internet Explorer
- Gear icon → Internet Options.
- Select the Advanced tab and press Reset.
- Check the box next to Delete personal settings.
- Press Reset.
Step 3. Remove Score-Stars from Microsoft Edge
a) Reset Microsoft Edge (Method 1)
- Launch Microsoft Edge → More (the three dots top right) → Settings.
- Press Choose what to clear, check the boxes and press Clear.
- Ctrl + Alt + Delete together.
- Task Manager → Processes tab.
- Find Microsoft Edge process, right-click on it, choose Go to details.
- If Go to details is not available, choose More details.
- Locate all Microsoft Edge processes, right-click on them and choose End task.
b) (Method 2)
We recommend backing up your data before you proceed.- Go to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe and delete all folders.
- Start → Search → Type in Windows PowerShell.
- Right-click on the result, choose Run as administrator.
- In Administrator: Windows PowerShell, paste this:
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml -Verbose}
below PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> and press Enter.

- Menu → More tools → Extensions.
- Delete all unwanted extensions by pressing the trash icon.
a) Change Google Chrome homepage
- Menu → Settings → On startup.
- Manage start up pages → Open a specific page or set of pages.
- Select Add a new page, and type in the URL of the homepage you want.
- Press Add.
- Settings → Search engine → Manage search engines.
- You will see three dots next to the set search engine. Press that and then Edit.
- Type in the URL of your preferred search engine, and click Save.
b) Reset Google Chrome
- Menu → Settings.
- Scroll down to and press Advanced.
- Scroll down further to the Reset option.
- Press Reset, and Reset again in the confirmation window.
Step 5. Delete [postname[ from Mozilla Firefox
- Menu → Add-ons → Extensions.
- Delete all unwanted extensions.
a) Change Mozilla Firefox homepage
- Menu → Options.
- In the homepage field, put in your preferred homepage.
b) Reset Mozilla Firefox
- Menu → Help menu (the question mark at the bottom).
- Press Troubleshooting Information.
- Press on Refresh Firefox, and confirm your choice.
Step 6. Delete [postname[ from Safari (Mac)
- Open Safari → Safari (top of the screen) → Preferences.
- Choose Extensions, locate and delete all unwanted extensions.
a) Change Safari homepage
- Open Safari → Safari (top of the screen) → Preferences.
- In the General tab, put in the URL of the site you want as your homepage.
b) Reset Safari
- Open Safari → Safari (top of the screen) → Clear History.
- Select from which time period you want to delete the history, and press Clear History.
- Safari → Preferences → Advanced tab.
- Check the box next to Show Develop menu.
- Press Develop (it will appear at the top) and then Empty Caches.
